Beast & The Capture

Sharing is caring!

Greetings and felicitations!

Not a long post today. First of all, I just wanted to drop my review of Beast here, for those that haven’t already read it on Live for Films:

Idris Elba: Lion Puncher

Secondly, a quick shout-out for The Capture, the second series of which has just launched on the BBC. I had largely forgotten the first run of this conspiracy thriller until the new series was announced recently, but it’s a fun watch and does make a (small) effort to address what role such as story has in the age of Tr*mp and QAnon. Might start the second series, later, Rings of Power permitting…

Having devoured the Preludes & Nocturnes omnibus of The Sandman in a day, I’m excited for the next one. The show may be in trouble, what with the ructions over at Warner Brothers and high production costs, Neil Gaiman has reported on Twitter that series two is not certain, despite its current success. So, dear readers, if it is your bag at all, then please hurry up and watch it, and spread the word if you enjoy it. Thanks also to reader Artemis, who recommended Gaiman’s Coraline here. It’s on my bookshelf and will be the next thing I pick up after I’ve finished The Last Kingdom novel I’m enjoying at the moment.

Not sure what the next post will be about, or when… I’m doing some hobbyist coding at the moment and I’d forgotten how damned therapeutic it can be… maybe I’ll blog about it or post some programs. Maybe not. In the meantime, Halloween is fast approaching and you know what that means… the Halloween Marathon starts again soon. Let me know any recommendations in the comments!

Till next time… thanks for reading… thanks for letting me write.
